Oh. My. Goodness.

Oh. My. Goodness. It has been a long time. I thank you in advance for bearing with me. It has been a very big year around here with lots of changes. In the almost year since we have been together, we have lost Lee, my beloved grandmother,

Grandma when she was young.

said goodbye to Wolfgang, our wonderful cat, bought a house, renovated said house (including an ongoing kitchen remodel), and suffered through a dental implant and three bulging discs. I am pleased to say, that 2017 ended on a happy note. We adopted three wonderful black kitties, and I am up and at it again at full speed.

The two brothers

I have a couple of new things to report. I took a fantastic design class with Josh Bennett of Josh Bennett NYC at Vogue Knitting live, NYC, and he was so inspiring that I am in the process of releasing my first knit pattern. Look for it on Ravelry soon. I have also opened an Etsy shop. My intent is to offer PDFs of knitting patterns there, as well as on ravelry. In the meantime, I am offering laminated bookmarks made from what else? Yarn ball bands. I have been using them as bookmarks for ages anyway, but now I have improved upon the model.

Laminated Yarn label bookmarks

I found some adorable knit themed fabric, cut it to fit inside the laminating pouches, and used it as a backing for the yarn labels. The bookmarks are available in two sizes. One with tassels, and one without. Naturally, I made the tassels out of yarn from my stash. Please visit my shop and let me know what you think. I am also wondering. Would you like me to offer the option of making custom bookmarks from your knitting labels?

Until next time,

Happy Knitting!

Pattern Release coming soon. PS> it's a hat
